CalyptoKey encrypts and decrypts vaulted secrets right in the browser with a key made from the user's master password. All secrets are encrypted in the client browser before they are uploaded to the remote server vault for safekeeping. Furthermore, user accounts are authenticated using zero-knowledge based techniques, so passwords are never seen or handled by servers at any point before, during, or after authentication. Gathering and storage of metadata is also strictly limited to only such as is necessary.
